Deshia Holmes, Pre-Licensed Clinician

Complacency is not always a good thing, sometimes you must be uncomfortable to be successful. We as humans need help from neutral parties to help us understand things that have been passed down generation to generation, to process the unspoken, the unknown, and many other difficult conversations we don’t want to have with people that know us. I have an interest in women issues, generational issues, families, couples, social justice, and I am sex/kink positive.
Imagine that I am your conscience in the human form to help you process all those big and small thoughts you have daily. An opportunity to challenge any and everything. I have a background in diverse population to include gender fluency, anxiety, children, families, relationships, addictions, depression, grief, sexual identities, and more...
Getting help is not a sign of weakness, it’s a sign of strength, progress, determination, resilience, and courage. Your emotional health is just as important as your mental and physical health too. Together we will create a plan that fits your needs for you to become a better version of yourself. My therapeutic style is collaborative like talking to a friend

Have you been feeling stuck, alone, misunderstood; confused, overwhelmed, tired, anxious or depressed? Therapy can help because it is like unraveling layers of a yarn ball. As you unravel the yarn ball, sometimes it’s a smooth process and sometimes it gets tangled up and you just feel stuck. Therapy helps make the hard stuff easier to work through once you have identified the experiences, thoughts, feelings and patterns that are keeping you stuck.
I’m Brittany, a Licensed Resident in counseling who specializes in helping adults and children pinpoint and work through their feelings, thoughts and behaviors to improve their mental health.
I am accepting new clients. Contact me today to unlock the door to begin your journey to healing and freedom.

Emotional safety and the therapeutic alliance are of upmost importance to me and the work we do together. That’s why I incorporate many different treatment techniques and utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet clients where they are. In the first sessions, I encourage my clients to define their wants, needs, and boundaries while I assist them in setting their own goals. I believe that therapy should be individualized to accommodate the differences in each of us that showcase our resilience and beauty. By allowing the clients to set their own goals, I hope to encourage them to feel heard and empowered.
I have experience working for Child Welfare and Women's Shelters, as well as working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in therapeutic settings. Some of the specific concerns I can assist in addressing are Anxiety, Depression, childhood trauma, Substance Abuse, and Foster and Adoptive Family transitions/issues.
